Mobile Phone Use Press Statement

Following today’s announcement regarding mobile telephone use in hospitals, Premier Telesolutions will continue to work closely with our partners across all NHS Trusts and ensure patients receive the choice and service they expect from us.

We have always considered the use of mobile telephones to be a potential risk to patient privacy due to the noise from ringtones and loud conversations. In addition, most are now equipped with cameras capable of recording video as well as still images, a further risk to patient privacy. The decision on how to implement this guidance will obviously remain with the individual trusts and we will of course continue to support them as necessary.
